Today, Ms Sanderson brought in her Great Grandmother's sea turtle shell. It was from a real sea turtle, about 50 years ago.
It was HUGE!
Underneath, it had a pattern like a spine and ribs.
We learnt lots of information about sea turtles from Ms Sanderson's big kids, Hamish and Issie.
Wow how special Room 6! That shell looks hard! Are baby turtles born with a shell?
ReplyDeleteSuper Six confirms: baby turtles are born with a shell!
DeleteWow, that's amazing room 6. Isla told me that plastic bags look like jellyfish in the water and turtles could eat them.
ReplyDeleteI bet Super 6 kids always put their plastic bags in the bin.
LOts of nodding - yes we do!
DeleteWow. That is a massive shell! You are super lucky kids getting the chance to see that. Nyla has been telling me that turtles are cold blooded, and lots of other things. It sounds like you learnt loads of turtle facts.
