Little Visitors to Super Six!

Can you see them?

Here's a closer look!

They are only two day old!

These chicks were brought in by Ella M and her mum.

We all got a wee hold.

We were careful.

We passed the chicks around our circle.

They were as light as a feather!

They flapped their tiny wings a bit but they can't fly yet.

They said "Peep! Peep! Peep!"

They are both females (girls) and will lay eggs when they are older.

These chicks need a warm light over them, day and night, as they haven't got their mother hen to keep them warm.

We tried to stay calm and quiet, but it was very exciting!!!

Ella M put them safely back into their little box to go home again. Thanks, Ella M!

  1. What an exciting start to your day super six.
Have the chicks got names? I would also love to know how you can tell if the chicks are boys or girls when they are still so small?

    1. Ella M says their names are Blossom and Pizza (formerly known as Mango, but she wanted a name change, apparently). Ella said only the pet store knows how to tell if they are boys or girls.
